Touch A Truck
Saturday, September 24,2016
9am-2pm @ Spokane Community College
Now in its 6th year, Touch-a-Truck has quickly become a tradition for many Spokane area families with over 1600 people in attendance each of the last two years! Touch-a-Truck is a family friendly, one day event that provides a unique opportunity for children to explore all types of vehicles including public service, utility, emergency, construction, landscaping, transportation, delivery, and just plain cool--all in one place! Children will be allowed to touch their favorite vehicles. They can get behind the wheel and meet the people who build, protect, and serve our community! This event raises funds to support the Junior League of Spokane's mission of promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Our dedicated members collaborate with partner agencies and community advisors to deliver thousands of volunteer hours in the community each year. Our focus area is childhood literacy and this year's proceeds will help us build a Book Bank and provide our first ever Book Fair and Literacy Event.
Touch-a-Truck provides an excellent opportunity for sponsors to showcase their brand and interact with parents, children, Junior League members, and the Spokane community. There are multiple ways for organizations to participate: truck participation, event sponsorship, program advertisement, performance, raffle donation, or in-kind support services.
